Updates for Saskatchewan – April 1, 2026

The Saskatchewan Spring COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign will be effective April 1 to June 15, 2026 for eligible individuals.

After March 31, 2026 healthy adults and children who do not have a medical risk factor are not eligible to be immunized with the 2025-26 COVID-19 vaccine. Moderately to severely immunocompromised adults and children will still be eligible for a dose if they have not received one yet this season.

An additional provincially funded (free) COVID-19 vaccine dose is available for the following individuals who are at increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19 infection.

*Recommended to be at least 8 weeks from a previous COVID-19 vaccine dose

  • All adults 65 years of age and older.

  • Adults 18 years of age and older who are residents of long-term care facilities, personal care homes and other congregate living settings where seniors reside.

  • Individuals 12 years of age and older who are moderately to severely immunocompromised due to an underlying condition or treatment*.

  • Available at public health only: Children 6 months to 11 years of age who are moderately to severely immunocompromised due to an underlying condition or treatment*.

  • Walk-in requests may be accommodated subject to availability.

To receive a COVID-19 vaccine at the pharmacy individuals must be:

COVID-19 mRNA vaccine (subject to availability)

  • Moderna Spikevax LP.8.1

  • Note: Pfizer Comirnaty LP.8.1 is only available at public health clinics this year
